My Introduction to Fishing
I grew up in a small town in Central Europe, where rivers and lakes were my playground. From the age of four, I fell completely in love with fly fishing and honestly, I didn’t do much else. I spent every free moment on the water with my dad, my grandma, and later with friends, learning not only how to catch fish but how to truly feel the river.
After completing my master’s degree at the University of South Bohemia in Fisheries and Water Protection, I decided to follow my dream – even if it meant taking a leap into the unknown. With only basic English, backpack and a single fly rod ( I had from age of 6) I traveled to Australia, determined to become a professional fly fisher and guide.
For a young woman from Central Europe, breaking into the professional fly-fishing world wasn’t easy. But through determination, passion, and a bit of luck- along with meeting the right people who believed in me – I built a life around what I love most.
Since then, fly fishing has taken me to some of the wildest and most beautiful places on Earth. Whether guiding for Atlantic salmon, teaching beginners to cast, hosting group adventures to the flats or jungle rivers, or creating educational content to inspire others, fly fishing has become much more than a career – it’s my life’s journey.
And I’m grateful to share that journey with you!
